Wi‑Fi network secured by Ucopia
🌐 English ▾

You’re almost there!

A privacy setting on your device is preventing this Wi‑Fi network from showing you its welcome page. Don’t worry: it’s common, harmless, and takes about two minutes to fix.

What’s going on?

Your phone, tablet or computer is using a feature such as iCloud Private Relay, “Secure DNS” (DNS over HTTPS) or a VPN. These features do a great job of protecting your browsing on the Internet, but they also prevent your device from talking to the local Wi‑Fi portal — the one that manages your connection, your account and your access on this network.

1

Find the situation below that matches your device.

2

Turn off the feature — for this network only, whenever possible.

3

Reconnect to the Wi‑Fi: the portal will appear as expected.

How do I get back online?

Pick the card that matches your device. The vendors’ official guides are one click away if you’d like more detail.

Matches your device

Browser — Secure DNS (DNS over HTTPS)

Chrome, Firefox and Edge can encrypt DNS requests and bypass the local network.

  1. Chrome: Menu ⋮ → Settings → Privacy and security → Security → turn off “Use secure DNS”.
  2. Firefox: Menu ☰ → Settings → Privacy & Security → set “DNS over HTTPS” to “Off”.
  3. Edge: Menu ⋯ → Settings → Privacy → turn off “Use secure DNS”.

iPhone, iPad or Mac — iCloud Private Relay

iCloud Private Relay hides your address from the local network and blocks access to the portal.

  1. Open Settings, then Wi‑Fi.
  2. Tap the ⓘ next to this network’s name.
  3. Turn off “Limit IP Address Tracking”. Private Relay stays active on all your other networks.

Android — Private DNS

The “Private DNS” option sends your requests to an external server and bypasses the local network.

  1. Open Settings → Network & Internet (or Connections).
  2. Tap Private DNS.
  3. Select “Off” or “Automatic”, then reconnect to the Wi‑Fi.

VPNs and protection apps

A VPN (NordVPN, Proton VPN, 1.1.1.1/WARP…) redirects all your traffic and hides the Wi‑Fi portal.

  1. Open your VPN app and disconnect it temporarily.
  2. Sign in to the Wi‑Fi portal.
  3. Turn your VPN back on afterwards if you wish.

🔒 What about my privacy?

These settings only affect your connection to this network. You can turn all your protections back on as soon as you’re connected — in fact, we recommend it.
